Brittney Hoffpauir & Matthew Chandler

Our Story

Brittney and Matthew met at Community Church in 2007. They became good friends serving on a mission trip to New York City. They soon begin to realize that their goals and interests showed similarities and knew that something good was beginning. Matthew serves as the Jr. High Pastor at Community Church and Brittney has a strong passion for the ministry as well. She works part time as a secretary for a church in Port Arthur. After dating for over a year, Matthew realized the time had come to deepen they're relationship by asking her hand in marriage. He consulted a close friend on what he should do for the proposal. After much thought, they had a clever plan set up with a nice dinner and the ring would be brought out on a desert plate. Matthew called Brittney's relatives to help get her out of the house so he could ask her parents for their blessings. Once that was out of the way, he called Brittney and tried to convince her to go out for lunch with him. She knew she had a busy day and couldn't take time to go sit down at a restuarant. Matthew quickly improvised and drove to McDonald's. He told Brittney that they would have a nice lunch by themselves in her parent's game room. What she didn't know was that he placed the ring box inside the toy bag and placed that in the bottom of the happy meal bag. She was eating away and he was anxious and ready for her to open the toy bag. Brittney looked in and pulled out the toy exclaiming how weird it was that McDonald's was putting rings in the happy meals and then it hit her what was happening. She screamed, they hugged and kissed, and ran downstairs to show her parents. Matthew and Brittney became engaged December 20, 2008. The wedding has been set for June 13, 2009. The couple plans to go back to New York for the honeymoon. Matthew has moved into an apartment behind Community Church where Brittney will join him in June. They continue to seek the Lord in their careers and seeks His will to be done in their lives.

Our Wedding

The wedding is set for June 13, 2009 at Community Church in Orange, Texas.

Our Reception

Reception will follow at the Drive Student Center Gym on 16th Street in Orange, Texas. Plans are underway for the ceremony and reception sites.
